Terms of service
Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and Verity AI Ltd (company number 16116354), which runs Brand Protection Tools. Brand Protection Tools is for businesses. By creating an account you confirm you're using it for your business, not as a consumer.
What the service does
We search online marketplaces and websites for listings that may copy your products or use your product photos. Software sorts and ranks what it finds. You decide which listings are real copies. For the ones you confirm, we prepare a notice and show you where to file it.
You are the complainant
- Every notice is made by you, in your name or your company's, about rights you own or are authorised to enforce.
- You confirm each listing yourself. The software, including its AI features, never confirms or files anything on its own.
- Before you file, you check the notice is accurate. A copyright notice includes a statement you make under penalty of perjury, and knowingly, materially false claims can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. 512(f) in the United States and similar laws elsewhere.
- You don't use the service against listings you have no good-faith reason to believe infringe your rights, or to harass competitors.
Software, not legal advice
We're not a law firm and nothing in the service, our guides or our emails is legal advice. If you're unsure whether something infringes your rights, ask a lawyer.
What we can't promise
Platforms decide whether to remove a listing, and how fast. Sellers can file counter-notices and relist. We can't guarantee any listing will be removed or stay removed, and we don't guarantee we'll find every copy.
Plans, billing and cancelling
- Prices are on the pricing page in US dollars. Taxes are added where they apply.
- Plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund part-used periods.
- Founding prices stay the same for as long as your subscription stays active.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price of your plan.
Your data
Your brand details, findings and notices are yours. We use them to run the service for you, as described in our privacy policy. We may use anonymised, combined figures (for example, how many listings were removed across all customers on a platform) in reports. Those never identify you or your brand.
Acceptable use
Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, share your login outside your plan's seats, or use it for anything unlawful. We can suspend accounts that do.
Liability
Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months. We're not liable for lost profits or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms. When an account closes we delete its data as set out in the privacy policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
