The short answer
BrandShield is a managed online brand protection service that pairs AI detection with expert-led enforcement across marketplaces, websites, social media, paid ads and the dark web. It doesn't publish prices. For marketplace copies, alternatives publish prices from $99 a month. For phishing and impersonation, BrandShield is built for the job.
What does BrandShield do?
BrandShield finds and removes online threats to a brand: counterfeit listings, phishing sites, lookalike domains, fake social accounts, executive impersonation and harmful content in AI answers. Its site says it pairs AI detection with expert-led enforcement, runs a round-the-clock security operations center and serves 500+ brands.
BrandShield sits halfway between brand protection and cybersecurity. Its Why BrandShield page describes one platform for online brand protection and external cybersecurity. AI.ClusterX links accounts, listings, domains and campaigns, and specialists validate threats and manage takedowns through resolution. That's a different shape of service from a tool that only watches marketplaces.
It does sell to smaller companies. Its SMB page offers monitoring across websites, marketplaces, social media and paid ads, with enforcement managers who act on every confirmed threat, and says no internal resources are required. For an owner with no time to review matches, that's the main attraction.
On the marketplace side, its marketplace protection page lists evidence collection, platform-specific submissions, escalation workflows and tracking of repeat offenders and relisted products.
How much does BrandShield cost?
BrandShield doesn't publish prices. Its /pricing address returned a 404 when we checked on 5 November 2026, its SMB page shows no price, and every page we opened routes buyers to a demo with a brand protection expert.
So you can't compare it on price before a call. You can make the call useful. Bring your trademark list, the marketplaces and countries you sell in, a rough count of copies you found last month, and whether phishing or fake accounts have reached your customers. Then ask for the quote in the units published-price tools use: per month, per brand, per channel.
Hold the quote against our guide to what brand protection costs, which gathers the published prices. Corsearch doesn't publish prices either; our Corsearch alternatives guide covers that side of the market.
Is BrandShield worth it for small businesses?
It is if fake sites, phishing or impersonation accounts are reaching your customers, because that's what BrandShield is built around. If your problem is copies of a few products on a few marketplaces, a narrower tool with a published price covers that job, and you can price it before any call.
Here's the test we'd use. Look back at the last ten things that worried you. If most were listings copying your products, you need marketplace enforcement. If several were emails, sites or accounts pretending to be you, you need what BrandShield sells. Mixed? Ask BrandShield for a quote, and price the marketplace part separately, so you know what the rest of the cover costs.
Be honest about time too. A self-serve tool needs someone to confirm each match every week. If that person doesn't exist, the comparison isn't BrandShield against a $99 tool. It's BrandShield against another managed service.
What are the alternatives to BrandShield for each threat?
Pick a BrandShield alternative by threat: published-price tools handle marketplace copies well, while phishing sites, impersonation and fake domains are the threats BrandShield is built for. Copied photos go to copyright notices, phishing pages to Google Safe Browsing, lookalike domains to UDRP, and copycat Shopify stores to Shopify's DMCA form.
| Threat | Alternative | Published price | Who acts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Counterfeit marketplace listings | Self-serve software: IP Moat, Brand Protector, Brand Protection Tools (plans and pricing) | IP Moat $105 to $529, Brand Protector $199, ours $99 to $499 a month | You confirm; the tool sends or prepares the notice |
| Counterfeit marketplace listings, filed for you | Red Points self-serve | $1,127 a month for 1 trademark on 1 single-site marketplace; $1,932 for all | Red Points |
| Copied photos and web content | DMCA.com | DIY toolkit $10 a month; managed notices from $199 each | You, or their case team |
| Fake websites | Red Points Fake Website Protection | $745 a month, added to a self-serve scope | Red Points |
| Phishing pages | Google Safe Browsing report form | No fee shown | You |
| Lookalike domains | UDRP complaint at WIPO | $1,500 for 1 to 5 domains, single panelist, plus any lawyer's fee | You or a lawyer |
| Copycat Shopify stores | Shopify's DMCA form | No fee shown | You |
Red Points is the closest managed swap for the marketplace and fake-website parts, and it publishes its price. Its calculator adds a $938 monthly plan fee to every scope, which our Red Points alternatives guide works through case by case. Brand Protector's listing says it also scans search results and lookalike domains. For fake social accounts, report through each platform's own form; we didn't find a published price for managed social media takedowns.
For marketplace listings, each platform has its own route. The Takedown Routes Index lists them with the date each was last checked.
What does BrandShield do better than a published-price tool?
Scope and staffing. BrandShield covers phishing, fake apps, paid-ad scams, executive impersonation, the dark web and AI answers alongside marketplaces, groups related threats into campaigns, and has specialists file and follow up. None of the self-serve tools in the table above covers that range.
Clustering matters more than it sounds. The seller you removed on Monday can be back by Thursday under a new name, and a fake site can arrive with matching social accounts and ads. A service that links those and removes them together saves you chasing one listing at a time. If that's your week, BrandShield belongs on the shortlist.
Read its headline figures as its own. The BrandShield home page says 98% of brand threats are detected and removed within SLA, and that it's recognized as the number one brand protection leader on G2. Ask in the demo what the SLA is and how a threat is counted.
What would a BrandShield alternative cost a growing brand?
For one trademark, Red Points' published calculator gives $1,142 a month for Etsy and Alibaba.com, $1,397 for Amazon, $1,932 for every marketplace and $2,677 with fake-website protection added. Self-serve tools publish $99 to $529 a month, but you confirm each copy yourself.
- Etsy and Alibaba.com, one trademark: Red Points comes to $938 + $174 + $15 + $15 = $1,142 a month. Brand Protection Tools searches both, and its Starter plan is $99.
- Amazon only: Red Points is $1,397 a month. IP Moat's one-marketplace plan is $105; confirm it covers Amazon for you before you pay.
- Every marketplace: Red Points is $1,932. IP Moat Premium, 30 marketplaces plus websites, is $529.
- Add fake websites: Red Points adds $745, so $2,677 a month.
Those are list prices, and BrandShield's quote may land anywhere relative to them. Use them to test the quote, not to guess it. The managed rows include someone filing for you; the self-serve rows include your time.
Who should choose BrandShield anyway?
Choose BrandShield, or a vendor like it, when customers are being phished or scammed in your name, when executives are being impersonated, or when nobody on your team can review threats every week. Those are jobs a self-serve tool won't do.
Its home page gives whole sections to pharma, finance, gaming and travel brands for a reason. Their threats are often scams that take customers' money or data, not only copies that take sales. A consumer brand can land in that group too, the week a fake store starts taking orders with your logo on it. When that happens, speed and someone else's hands are worth paying for.
Questions people also ask
How much does BrandShield cost?
BrandShield doesn't publish prices. Its /pricing address returned a 404 on 5 November 2026, and its pages route buyers to a demo. To compare, ask for a monthly figure for your brands and channels, then hold it against published prices: self-serve tools from $99 a month, and Red Points from $1,127 a month for one trademark on one single-site marketplace.
Is BrandShield worth it for small businesses?
If fake sites, phishing or impersonation accounts are reaching your customers, it's built for that, and its SMB page offers enforcement managers so you don't need staff. If copies on a few marketplaces are the whole problem, price a published-price tool first, then decide whether the wider cover is worth the difference.
Does BrandShield file the takedowns for me?
Yes. BrandShield says its specialists validate threats and manage takedowns through resolution, and its SMB page says enforcement managers act on every confirmed threat. That's the main difference from self-serve software, where you confirm each copy and the tool sends or prepares the notice.
Our products go viral and counterfeit sellers appear on TikTok Shop fast. What should we use?
Speed matters more than the vendor's name. Red Points lists TikTok Shop as a $15 monthly marketplace in its self-serve calculator, on top of the $938 plan fee and the trademark fee. Whatever you pick, have your trademark details and photo ownership ready before launch day, so the first report goes in the same day.
What's the cheapest way to take down a phishing site using my brand?
Report the page to Google Safe Browsing and to the site's host, and keep dated screenshots. Don't report it to the domain registrar, which can only suspend the whole domain. If the domain name itself copies your brand, a UDRP complaint at WIPO costs $1,500 for 1 to 5 domains with a single panelist. Talk to a lawyer first.
Should I choose BrandShield or Red Points?
Red Points publishes a self-serve price for counterfeits on marketplaces, with fake websites as an add-on. BrandShield doesn't publish prices, and pairs brand protection with external cybersecurity: phishing, fake apps and the dark web. If marketplaces are your main problem, price Red Points first. If scams are, start with BrandShield's demo.
